A large coach is too big for a driveway bucket and a hose, and the wrong product on a fiberglass gelcoat or a decal can do more harm than good. We detail RVs and specialty vehicles indoors at our Yorba Linda facility, working the exterior and interior as two separate disciplines with the right chemicals, pads, and extraction tools for each. All detailing is in-shop only.
What a full detail covers
A full detail is a sequence, not a single pass. On the exterior we start with a pre-rinse and a foam wash to lift grit, then clay or chemically decontaminate the gelcoat and clear coat to pull out embedded road film, bug residue, and rail dust. From there we machine polish to remove oxidation and light swirl marks before laying down a sealant or wax that protects the finish from sun and oxidation. Inside, we vacuum, brush, and hot-water extract fabric and carpet, wipe and condition hard surfaces, and clean glass and the cab so the coach feels reset rather than just freshened.

The right products for fiberglass and gelcoat
RV exteriors are mostly fiberglass gelcoat and painted panels with decals and graphics over the top, and they age differently than automotive clear coat. A chalky, oxidized gelcoat needs an actual cutting compound and a machine, not a quick wax that hides the haze for a week. We assess the panel, test a section, and choose the polish and pad combination that brings the finish back without burning through a decal edge or thinning a fragile clear coat. The same care applies to awnings, slide toppers, and rubber seals, which we clean and treat rather than blast with whatever is on the shelf.
Detail before paint, sale, or storage
A full detail is also the right first step before other work. Before a paint or graphics job we strip oxidation and contamination so the shop sees the true condition of the panel. Before a sale or a pre-purchase handoff, a clean coach photographs and inspects far better. Before long-term storage, a sealed exterior and a dry, extracted interior resist the mildew and oxidation that set in over months parked outside.

It depends on the length and condition of the coach. A clean midsize trailer may be a single day, while a large oxidized motorhome that needs multi-stage paint correction inside and out can take several days. We give you a written estimate and a realistic timeline after we walk the rig in the shop.
Can you remove oxidation and chalkiness from my RV's exterior?+
Usually yes. A chalky, dull gelcoat is oxidation, and we cut it back with a machine and a compound, then seal the finish to protect it. Badly weathered panels may need multiple stages, which we confirm after testing a section.
Do you detail the inside too, including upholstery and carpet?+
Yes. A full detail includes the interior. We vacuum, brush, and hot-water extract carpet, seating, and mattresses, then clean and condition hard surfaces, glass, and the cab. All of it is done in our Yorba Linda shop.
