A diesel pusher is built on a heavy raised-rail or tag-axle chassis with the engine in the rear, an air-ride suspension, and a tall body that carries full-body paint and large basement bays. How diesel pushers are built and where they fail
Most diesel pushers ride on a Freightliner XC, Spartan, or Roadmaster raised-rail chassis with the engine and radiator at the rear, which puts the cooling package, charge-air piping, and rear cap right where low-speed impacts and tow incidents land. The body above is a steel or aluminum cage skinned in fiberglass or full-body painted gelcoat, with one or two large basement slide trays and full-wall slides cut into the sidewall. Because the coach is tall and heavy, a hit that looks cosmetic can tweak the cage or shift a slide opening out of square.
We start by measuring the body and slide openings against factory reference points before we touch the skin, so a slide that binds after a collision gets traced to the real cause instead of just being adjusted. On full-body painted coaches we map the existing multi-stage and metallic layers and blend into adjacent panels so the repair does not flash a different shade in Chino sun.

Paint and fiberglass on a full-body coach
Full-body painted diesel pushers are some of the hardest finishes to match because the original is often a four to six stage paint job with airbrushed graphics and clearcoat over the entire shell, not a simple gelcoat sidewall. We refinish in a downdraft booth long enough to take the whole coach, color sand, and buff so the repaired section reads as one continuous panel. Fiberglass front and rear caps that crack from flex or impact are rebuilt from the backside with proper laminate, not just skim-filled.

Can you match the full-body paint on my coach after a side repair?+
Yes. Full-body coaches usually carry a multi-stage base, metallic, and graphics under full clearcoat. We map the existing layers, spray test panels, and blend into the adjacent sections in a booth long enough for the whole coach, then color sand and buff so the repair does not stand out.
After a collision my full-wall slide binds. Is that a slide problem or body damage?+
Often it is the body. A hit can shift the slide opening out of square so the room no longer travels cleanly. We measure the opening against factory points, straighten the structure if needed, then service the rollers, gears, and seals so the slide moves and seals correctly again.
