Bumper, Fender, and Panel Replacement in Chino

The short answer

We repair and replace bumpers, fenders, and body panels on RVs, vans, and trucks in Chino, then color match and blend so the new panel matches the rig.

Bumper, fender, and panel replacement at OCRV Center
Ballpark: $200 to $4,500

A torn fender or a crushed bumper is more than cosmetic on a big rig, since those panels often carry mounts, lights, and body lines that have to line up. We source the replacement when it is available and fabricate it when it is not, hang it true, and blend the refinish. Chino owners bring that work to our Yorba Linda shop.

Source or fabricate the right panel

Finding the panel is half the job. On current models we source factory or aftermarket parts, but on older and specialty coaches the original is often discontinued. When that happens we fabricate a replacement in metal or fiberglass to match the shape and mounting points. Either way it has to fit the openings and body lines before paint.

  • Factory and aftermarket bumper and fender sourcing
  • Custom fabrication when a panel is discontinued
  • Metal and fiberglass panel forming
  • Mounting point and bracket repair
  • Test fit against openings and body lines

Mount it true, then blend the finish

A new panel that sits proud or gaps at one corner reads as a repair from across the lot. We shim and align it so the gaps stay even and the body lines run straight, then refinish. Rather than painting the panel alone, we blend the color into the neighboring panels so the repair disappears.

  • Panel alignment for even, consistent gaps
  • Body line matching across the repair
  • Color matched refinish on the new panel
  • Blend into adjacent panels to hide the edge
  • Final buff to match surrounding gloss
Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you fabricate panels that are no longer available?+

Yes. On older and specialty rigs the original bumper or fender is often discontinued, so we fabricate a replacement in metal or fiberglass to fit the mounts and body lines. Having body and fabrication under one roof at our Yorba Linda shop means Chino owners do not have to chase a discontinued part.

Will a replacement panel match the rest of my paint?+

That is the goal. We mix to the color formula, then adjust to the actual faded panels and blend into the areas next to the repair. On a coach that has seen sun, blending into adjacent panels keeps a new fender from standing out against the older finish.

Can a bumper be repaired instead of replaced?+

Sometimes. A bumper that is scuffed or lightly bent can often be repaired, realigned, and refinished for less than a replacement. Once it is torn, crushed, or the mounts are broken, replacement is the sounder fix. We assess the damage and tell you which your rig needs.
