Installing a generator is more than bolting a box into the bay. The set has to be mounted to handle vibration, plumbed into the correct fuel source, exhausted safely away from the cabin, and wired through a transfer switch so it does not back-feed shore power. We do the full installation in shop so every connection is built and tested correctly. All work is in-shop only at our Yorba Linda facility.
Sizing the generator to your coach
The first job in any install is matching the generator output to the load it has to carry. An undersized set will surge or stall when the air conditioner cycles on, and an oversized one wastes fuel and money. A generator install lives or dies on the details that nobody sees. We build the mount to isolate vibration so the set does not crack its own welds or shake the bay apart, tie the fuel supply into the correct tank pickup or LP line, and route the exhaust to discharge safely away from windows, doors, and the cabin. Sealing and clearance around a hot exhaust is a safety item, not a finishing touch.

Transfer switch and start wiring
The electrical side is where a sloppy install becomes dangerous. The generator has to feed the coach through a transfer switch so it can never back-feed onto the shore-power cord, and the remote start and panel monitoring have to land on the right terminals. We wire the transfer switch, the start circuit, and the panel gauges, then run the set under load to confirm it starts, transfers, carries the A/C, and shuts down clean before the rig leaves the shop.
