Inverters and converters are easy to confuse because they sit on opposite ends of the same job. The inverter turns 12-volt battery power into 120-volt AC so you can run outlets off the bank. The converter does the reverse, turning shore power into DC to charge that bank. When either one fails you lose half your power picture, so we confirm which unit is at fault before quoting a replacement. All work is done in shop at our Yorba Linda facility.

## Inverter and converter work we handle

A dead inverter shows up as no AC at the outlets when you are off shore power, while a failed converter shows up as a house bank that slowly dies even when plugged in. ## Confirm the unit before replacing it

A converter that reads fine at idle can still fail to hold voltage when the furnace and lights kick on.
